Terms of Service

Welcome to RotarIQ. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RotarIQ website, AI tutoring platform, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by RotarIQ ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

RotarIQ provides AI-powered educational content and tutoring focused on rotating equipment engineering, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and related industrial systems. The Service includes structured learning modules, an AI tutor, and supporting materials.

2. Educational Use Only — Not Engineering Advice

The Service is provided for educational and professional development purposes only. Content generated by the AI tutor does not constitute professional engineering advice, and must not be used as the sole basis for decisions affecting the design, operation, maintenance, or safety of real equipment or facilities. Always follow your employer's procedures, applicable codes and standards, OEM documentation, and the judgment of qualified engineers responsible for your site.

You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain errors or omissions. You are solely responsible for verifying any information before applying it in a professional context. We disclaim all liability for decisions made or actions taken in reliance on the Service.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.

4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor (Whop). By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
You may cancel at any time through your account or the payment processor. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds are provided unless required by law.
We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Founding-member pricing commitments will be honored as described at the time of purchase for as long as your subscription remains continuously active.
Team plans are limited to the number of seats purchased. Sharing individual accounts is not permitted.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Share, resell, or redistribute Service content or your account access;
Attempt to extract, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service, its prompts, or underlying models;
Use the Service to develop a competing product;
Submit unlawful, infringing, or malicious content;
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, curriculum, branding, and software comprising the Service are owned by RotarIQ or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the Service for your personal or internal business use during your subscription. Certifications issued by RotarIQ may be displayed for personal professional purposes.

7. AI-Generated Content

Responses produced by the AI tutor are generated by machine learning models. We do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose. You may use AI responses for your own learning; you may not represent them as professional engineering deliverables.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROTARIQ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RotarIQ and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 2, 6, 8, 9, and 10) will survive.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania.
